ATHLONE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SELECTS LEGEND AS ITS MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT SOLUTION TO SUPPORT CONTINUOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE INNOVATION

Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), the award-winning higher education institution located in the heart of Ireland, has implemented Legend Club Management Systems membership management solution in its new, state-of-the-art gym facility. AIT selected Legend due to its continuous innovation in product development, in addition to the strength of its core functionality available today.

Paul Coburn, Commercial Manager, Athlone Institute of Technology, comments: “I was looking for a system that would fit our needs right now, but also grow with the business. AIT’s Sports facilities boasts three grass pitches, an all-weather sports pitch, an outdoor athletics track as well as the AIT International Arena which is the only indoor athletics arena in the country. In addition, the institute opened a new state-of-the-art gym in August 2015, including an indoor cycling studio, group exercise studio and high performance training area.

Legend’s core membership management software, plus its online booking and online payments solutions, have been implemented to offer the facility’s users, which include AIT students and faculty, as well as local sports teams, businesses and general public, the optimal customer experience and increase the efficiency with which the business operates. The organisation also has plans to expand its Legend portfolio with the addition of Legend’s online ticketing application for wider use within the International Arena.

Paul explains: “The access control management system within Legend’s core solution was a significant contributing factor. The gym covers a large area with distinct facilities within it. With Legend, I have confidence that individuals are only getting access to the areas to which they are entitled, but importantly also that they are able to flow throughout the facilities with ease and convenience.

“Furthermore, the convenience of online payments and bookings offers significant benefits. From our perspective, it saves on time and administration. Whilst our users can book their classes online, at their own convenience.”

Paul concludes: “Right now, Legend meets all my needs for running the business. But I wanted to procure a solution that would offer more than that. With Legend, I can be confident that this will still be the case in two years’ time and onwards.”
