Parkwood Leisure reduces Members' debt collection admin times with implementation of debt management software from Legend

Legend Club Management Systems, the supplier of leading leisure management software for public, private and educational leisure facilities across the UK, has been chosen by Parkwood Leisure, a provider of leisure facilities on behalf of local authorities across England and Wales, to provide them with a newly launched Invoicing and Debt Management System. This system will enable them to easily generate invoices and payment reminders, ensuring efficient credit control across the business, thereby saving significant amounts of debt-related administration time.
Previously, Parkwood Leisure’s credit controllers were spending much of their time collating information and manipulating spreadsheets, instead of resolving debt issues. Time would be spent manually interrogating data to highlight simply which debtors had made payments and which had not.
Legend’s Invoicing and Debt Management System allows Parkwood Leisure to automate credit control and reporting, as well as automatically contacting debtors through email and generating electronic statements and letters to warn them of amounts owed. Debtors can simply click on a link in the invoice, statement or warning letter to make an online payment, instantly and easily. The system will also mean that administrators no longer have to manually re-enter data in order to generate an invoice or aging report, and can instead concentrate on making contact with debtors in order to resolve and manage debt issues.

Previously, a significant proportion of the department’s time was taken up by manually working through the data to see who had made payment and which had not. As you can imagine, this was a lengthy process, as was generating reports and invoices to reflect this information – indeed the two credit controllers would typically spend a week each month compiling the debt analysis. The Legend software now performs these tasks automatically, and has given our credit control department an invaluable time and cost saving.”
Rawlinson continues, “In addition, customers can also now make payments online. Given the simplicity of sending an email to a debtor, with a link to the online payment process integrated with the software, we are finding that the Invoicing and Debt Management System from Legend is proving to be a far more efficient way of settling debts. In all, the process has really improved for the customer and us alike.”
