Crown Sports Installs Legend Across Dragons Group ~ May 2005

Crown Sports has announced a national rollout of the Legend Club Management System across all 21 of its Dragons Health Clubs. Crown sees the selection of Legend as integral to its goal of improved consistency of membership systems and enhanced professionalism as the company seeks to expand on its recent successes.

Andy Lelean, Head of IT for Dragons Health Clubs, was particularly impressed with Legend when evaluating potential suppliers. He comments: “Many of the membership management systems on the market offered an impressive menu of products which would have gone some way to fulfilling our requirements. Legend truly stood out from the rest, however, with a level of professionalism and integrity that encouraged us to develop the relationship further. We soon recognised that the Legend management solution could rapidly and efficiently bring all the Dragons Clubs in line, providing the consistency of product we required.”

Ingrid Hay, Operations Director for Legend, comments: “One of Legend’s unique selling points is the ease of installation across a group, resulting in minimum disruption to daily operations. Implementing a new management system requires a highly professional conversion process, as the quality of membership data and the ability of staff to immediately function on the new system is so key. Crown were very impressed with the effectiveness of our rollout across 70 LA Fitness sites last year, and this gave them great confidence in our ability to do the same for the Dragons clubs.”

The Crown Sports portfolio was developed through the acquisition of a variety of club groups, which had resulted in a disparate range of member management systems. Crown’s objectives in sourcing a single system were to improve efficiency whilst at the same time reduce costs, establishing consistency across the group.
