Get Your FREE Geo-Demographic Membership Profile - January 2006

Participate in the most comprehensive national audit yet attempted, profiling fitness consumers, and receive a comprehensive profile of your customer base and your catchment area for FREE. This means that for the first time in the UK fitness industry, vital statistics will be available free, to the leisure industry as well as to government, indicating actual current and potential levels of fitness participation in Britain.

Some of Legend’s customers have already participated in the audit. If you have not yet benefited, here’s how to get involved and receive your FREE member profile.

Your participation is key!
The National Audit of Fitness Consumers is being conducted by The Leisure Database Company using Experian’s award winning people classifications system, Mosaic. It also has the support of both Sport England and the Fitness Industry Association. However your involvement is key so that as many clubs as possible are represented.

As a reward for your participation, you will be provided with a FREE geo-demographic profile of your members and catchments area at the Mosaic group level. For further background and for a sample member profile, refer to the attached documents.

Note: The data from all participating centres will be added confidentially to the national audit and, when aggregated, will reveal detailed information on the kind of people regularly using gyms across the UK. The audit will also crucially help to identify groups who are currently not participating.

Strictly Confidential
Please be assured that your data will be treated as strictly confidential and will NOT be released at any individual user, venue or operator level. The data will be used only to ascertain profiles at a national and regional level. By sending your data to The Leisure Database Company, you are agreeing to take part in the national audit.

How To Get Started
To be included in the national audits, simply send a file of your current adult live and lapsed fitness members for each venue (i.e. those that pay a monthly membership fee or have paid in full to use the gym, NOT casual users) to The Leisure Database Company. The format that is required is as follows:

To extract the above information, use your Legend Reports Module and follow these simple steps:
• Select your Active Member List Report (Member List Reports > Member Status > Active Members)
• Select level = Enterprise
• Include the fields mentioned above as columns in your report (Select Customize Columns from your left hand menu bar)
• Repeat this process to select your Lapsed Members (Lapsed Member List Report)

The data needs to be sent by email (Excel, Text, Access or CSV format) to kenza@theleisuredatabase.com with an explanation of your membership types. You will receive your member profile back within 5 working days. Note this profile will only be done on live members. Additional retention & attrition member analysis is available from The Leisure Database Company for a fee.
